Transforming Old Bellevue - Our Public Murals Initiative
Our Vision of Murals
The Old Bellevue Merchants Association (OBMA), in collaboration with the Bellevue Downtown Association (BDA), local property owners, and the City of Bellevue, is launching a major public art initiative to bring four significant, place-making murals to the heart of our community.
This project is about more than just decoration—it's about creating unique, memorable gathering spaces and enriching the pedestrian experience along the Grand Connection. These murals will be distinct works of art that reflect the spirit and history of Old Bellevue, designed to delight residents and welcome visitors for years to come.
Our Project's Core Details
We are excited to be transforming key intersections into dynamic canvases for public art.
What: Four unique, large-scale public murals.
Where: Located at the prominent corners where Main Street intersects with 102nd Avenue (NE & SE).
Timeline: We anticipate installation by Spring/Summer 2026.
Partners: This initiative is a dedicated collaboration between the Old Bellevue Merchants Association, the Bellevue Downtown Association, local property/business owners, and the City of Bellevue.
Our Goal & Your Impact
To bring this vision to life, we must secure and fund specialist mural artists who can design and paint high-quality, long-lasting works of art.
Our Minimum Fundraising Goal: $19,000
Every contribution, large or small, directly ensures that we hire the necessary expert talent and secure the materials for these ambitious installations.
We are working with external suppliers and contractors, and we hope to secure donations of paints, materials and other associated products.
In order to secure the best talent and fund their work appropriately, we hope to raise more than our minimum goal.
Tax-Deductible Donation & Payment Information
We are thrilled to confirm that the Old Bellevue Merchants Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
As a result, all donations made to the Mural Project are tax-deductible. Please consult with your tax specialist for detailed information.
